Ana Kotarcic

Ana Kotarcic is postdoctoral fellow at the Department of History at the University of Zurich. She works on the ERC funded project 'The Just City' as part of which she examines Cicero’s conception and conceptualisation of justice. Before that, she worked on the Stop Hate Speech project, a joint undertaking between Alliance F, the Immigration Policy Lab at the ETH Zurich, the Department of Political Science at the University of Zurich as well as Sotomo. Her research focuses on the workings of natural language and its social and political implications in the ancient and modern world which she approaches with the help of philological, philosophical, linguistic, NLP and machine learning techniques. Her work has been published by international outlets like Cambridge University Press, Nature Scientific Reports and EMNLP.
