Laura Bullón-Cassis

Dr. Laura Bullón-Cassis' work explores how media and digital technologies - including frontier technologies - can be a force for more just and inclusive environmental decision-making, including for marginalized communities such as youth and indigenous groups. As part of her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Albert Hirschman Centre on Democracy of the Geneva Graduate Institute, she works on a scientific communication project on storytelling, youth, and artificial intelligence funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). She is also a consultant at the UN Environment Programme's UN Science-Policy-Business Forum, where she works on a multi-stakeholder partnership on Big Data for the Environment. Dr. Bullón-Cassis holds a Ph.D. in Media, Culture, and Communications, obtained with Distinction in 2022 from New York University. She also holds an MSc in Global Politics and a BSc in Sociology from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
