Maurice Flechtner
Maurice Flechtner is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Zurich, working in the Horizon Europe project AI4Deliberation at the Centre for Democracy Aarau. His research currently focuses on developing scalable deliberative process designs, simulating deliberation with LLMs, and automating the assessment of deliberative quality through the Deliberative Reason Index (DRI). He holds a Master’s degree in Computational Social Sciences from the University of Lucerne and a Bachelor’s in Philosophy with a minor in Mathematics from Humboldt University of Berlin. His broader interests include democratic innovations, especially the application of ML and AI methods to enhance deliberative processes.
