Uwe Serdült

Uwe Serdült is a principle investigator at the Centre for Democracy Studies Aarau (ZDA), University of Zurich, and a professor in the “e-Society Lab” at Ritsumeikan University in Japan. From 2012–2018, he led the large-scale project “e-Democracy” based at the ZDA as well as an interdisciplinary SNF project on “Emotionality and Polarisation in New Social Media” together with Prof. F. Schweitzer, ETHZ (2013–2016). His research interests within digital governance currently focus on internet voting, e-petitions and the effect of digitalisation on democracies in general.
